Man Cave 12/27/12 thru Late April 2013
The old Laundry/Furnace room/Half bath is now the Terry Man Cave
This is a before shot looking at the cabinets that have been here forever.
Another before shot looking toward the toilet and shower area.
A gruesome shot of the poor old beat up cabinets.
I know it was thing thing to do at the time (1948), but the cardboard'ish wallboard that looked like imitation cement blocks was a pain in the BUTT to remove.
And it went around these 2 walls plus all back in the toilet area.
And now TADA!
used the existing cabinets
added a lower drawer set to the right where the washing machine used to be
built new doors and drawer fronts
painted everything with a antique white milk paint
used wood flooring as a countertop (cherry colored birch)
added glass tile backsplash
Looking left to the toilet/shower area again
ripped out the old knotty cedar wall
put in a half wall
added an old cabinet over the toilet salvaged from the main bath
Oh and what kind of man cave would it be without a TV
Looking back toward the outside wall
added a new blind
track lighting with small spots and 3 hanging lights
put the old chair I had to use as my dressing chair
And the ugly part where all the clothes are at.
Hanging rack
shoe shelves
shelves for sweats, T's, pants, etc
As usual, I still have some molding to do around the baseboards AND I will be replacing the carpeting with something nicer but all in due time.
