Canada and New England 2013

A 7 day cruise for a change.  Here was the Inin starting with a pre-day in New York.

Yum, the Times Square Hershey Store.

More of Times square

My favorite billboard

Our room at the Marriott Marquis Times Square

We were on the 40th or 42nd floor looking down on Times Square.  That Eye sign is a little creepy

Another view of the square

And another view of our room

The ball that drops on New Year's eve

Another view

A familiar landmark

One of the MANY streek vendors

Street food is everywhere.  Many even cook breakfast material first thing in the morning.

Our Broadway destination.  Eataly!

The cool triangle building at 5th and Broadway.  It's the Flatiron building built in 1902.

Of course the Empire State Building

Food vendors near 5th and Broadway

Inside Eataly

Lots of great food items

Fresh Pasta of every kind

And even more kinds of dry pastas.

Oh and the fresh breads

I wanted one of these wheels of cheese but had no way to carry it and prob not enuf money either

A cheese lovers dream

Onward to the ship

Cozy but doable room.  I had the fold down bunk on the right.

Pic of our ship (Caribbean Princess) at our first stop in Newport, RI

Tender day to get to shore

Fort Adams

Chinese Tea House on the waters edge at the Marble House Mansion

The Marble House was built as a summer "cottage" for Alva and William Kissam Vanderbilt between 1888 and 1892.

One of the other "cottages" along the water

Another little Shack

Another water side view of the Marble House
